CEFRIDEM 500 mg Powder for I.M./I.V. Injection

Used in adults and pediatric patients older than three months for the empirical treatment of suspected fungal infections in febrile neutropenic patients; the treatment of Candida infections, including candidemia, intra-abdominal abscesses, peritonitis, and pleural space infections; and the treatment of esophageal candidiasis. It is also indicated for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis in adults who are refractory to or intolerant of other antifungal therapies.

It is used in all age groups for the treatment of complicated skin and soft-tissue infections, bone and joint infections, community-acquired pneumonia, hospital-acquired pneumonia—including ventilator-associated pneumonia—and infective endocarditis; for perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis in patients at high risk of bacterial endocarditis; and, when administered orally, for the treatment of Clostridium difficile infections.
