EPSA: The Platform Uniting Europe’s Future Pharmacists

‍

The European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (EPSA) is an international organization dedicated to representing pharmacy students across Europe while fostering professional development, scientific exchange, and cross-border cooperation. By organizing international conferences and events, EPSA brings together pharmacy students with leading academic and industry experts, creating a collaborative ground for dialogue on healthcare policies, market access, and the future of pharmacy. Within this framework, the 20th EPSA Autumn Assembly aims to advance professional expertise and international networking by convening participants from across Europe. The event, taking place in Istanbul on October 22, 2026, will focus on the global dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry and current priorities in healthcare.

During the symposium titled “Policy and Access in Rare Diseases and Orphan Drugs,” organized as part of the 20th EPSA Autumn Assembly, Turan will deliver his keynote presentation titled “Global Growth Vision: Market Strategies and Strategic Product Portfolios”.

His session will address the role of market intelligence in strategic decision-making, the impact of international partnerships on organizational growth, and how portfolio management shapes global positioning. Furthermore, within the context of rare diseases and access to therapies, the presentation will highlight the critical importance of identifying the right target segments and markets to sustain long-term growth.

Following the symposium, Alp Turan will facilitate a case-based workshop titled “Market Entry Strategy Workshop: From Product Opportunity to Market Launch”.

In this workshop, participants will examine market potential assessment, product positioning, commercialization pathways, and strategic partnership models through practical, real-world case studies. The session will focus on the structured process of evaluating a product opportunity and translating it into an actionable market entry strategy.

Both the symposium and workshop will highlight that sustainable growth in global markets extends far beyond mere geographic expansion—it requires a well-curated product portfolio, strong alliances, comprehensive market analysis, and patient-centric market access strategies.

At Dem İlaç, we remain committed to empowering science, global vision, and the next generation of pharmacists.
